Billy Cole is a self-taught artist and hoarder from Broward County, FL. From an early age, Billy saw meaning in what most would deem as garbage and would keep virtually anything that came into his possession. His collections began to spill from dresser drawers, closets, under-bed compartments, and eventually inundated his entire living space. He recently began an attempt to lighten the load by converting his "garbage" into art.

Working with a mixture of collage, ink, acrylic and other media, he creates pieces as a form of personal journaling. His work reflects on his more memorable life events, and through it he attempts to conjure feelings of humor and conviction from seemingly significant and oftentimes bleaker scenes.

Currently, Billy works in the service industry and comes home late at night to his piles of memories. He lies awake at night wishing that he had more time to create than collect.
